Heathside’s Year 11 students have produced another excellent set of GCSE results. This year 81% of our students gained GCSEs at grade A*-C in English and Mathematics. The A*- C pass rate for English was 90% and for Mathematics it was 83%, demonstrating consistently high performance by our students in these very significant subjects.
Behind these overall measures lie some outstanding individual successes. A total of 24 students gained ten or more passes at A* or A grade, which is a stunning achievement for each of them.
Anne Cullum, Principal, said:
This year’s excellent results reflect the hard work and dedication of both our students and staff. All staff, teaching and support, have worked extremely hard to ensure our students have had high aspirations and supported them to achieve these high standards. The parents and carers have also played a major part in working with the school to achieve the best results possible. The governors and I would like to wish all of the students, many of whom who will be returning to Heathside to continue their post 16 studies, every success for the future.
