Groups and Assessment
Students are taught in mixed ability groups.
Students are assessed through research tasks, practical and design tasks and exam questions
There are no tiers in this GCSE course, all students take the same final exams.
Controlled Assessment and Final Examinations
Controlled Assessment makes up 60% of the GCSE course. It is assessed through Designing and Making and evidenced through a PowerPoint design folder.
There is a final examination at the end of Year 11.
