Groups and Assessment
Students are taught in mixed ability groups.
There are no tiers in this GCSE course, all students take the same final exams.
There are 3 final examinations at the end of Year 11:
Paper 1 - Medicine In Britain c1250 – present with the British sector of the western front: injury, treatment and trenches. 30% weighting
Paper 2 - Superpower relations and the Cold War, 1941 – 91 and Early Elizabethan England, 1558-88. 40% weighting
Paper 3 - Weimar and Nazi Germany, 1918-39. 30% weighting
