English Accelerated Pupil Programme KS3-4
Love English and want to challenge yourself? Welcome to the Accelerated Pupil Programme!
A few APP facts:
This should be fun! It is NOT intended as extra homework!
You should complete activities as and when you have the time.
You are not expected to complete every activity on the list. Pick and choose the ones that interest you, or the ones you would like to learn more about.
You will receive achievement points for each activity you complete.
At the end of each term we will award a prize for the student who has shown the most dedication and effort in each year group.
Be creative: you have the freedom to create new or personalise existing tasks so that they fully interest you. Feel free to talk through any ideas with your teacher or Miss Barnes
How to use the log:
When you complete an activity from the list, record what you have done in your log. You will then need to show your English teacher, who will sign off your work and award your achievement points. You will need to show some kind of evidence of completion so that this can be done.
Ideas for showing evidence include:
Bring in a photo of your work on your phone.
Email a picture or attachment to your teacher.
Bring your work into school.
Write a review of a book you have read or a place you have visited etc.
Make sure a parent/guardian signs your log for each activity you complete.
